Description
Certificate of authenticity
Each Pal dei Dogi artwork is handcrafted using artisanal techniques, making it unique and unrepeatable. Any imperfections are not defects but rather features that certify the originality and uniqueness of the piece.
To ensure its originality and authenticity, the back of each Pal dei Dogi artwork features a unique production identification number.
All artworks are accompanied by a dedicated certificate of authenticity, certifying and guaranteeing that the briccola originates from the Venetian Lagoon.
Wood marked by time
Natural works of Art
The briccole are the silent guardians of the Venetian Lagoon. These sturdy wooden poles, once a trusted guide for gondolas and boats, are slowly sculpted by water, time, and teredo mollusks, transforming into natural works of art.
Pal dei Dogi gives new life to these iconic elements, turning them into unique creations that encapsulate the history and essence of Venice.
The wood of the briccole, marked by unpredictable and fascinating journeys, merges with the glass and the water in exclusive pieces, perfect for those who wish to carry with them an authentic fragment of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Fusta
The Venetian sentry.
The Fusta was a fast and maneuverable vessel, widely used by the Republic of Venice between the 15th and 17th centuries. Characterized by a long, narrow hull, this vessel combined the use of oars with one or more lateen sails, making it ideal for patrol operations, rapid raids, and naval combat.
Lighter than the galley, the fusta was used primarily in the waters of the Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas to counter piracy and escort merchant convoys along trade routes. Its structure allowed it to carry a small but highly specialized crew, composed of sailors, rowers, and combat-ready soldiers.
Thanks to its speed and ability to move with agility even in shallow waters, the fusta was an essential component of Venetian naval strategy for several centuries. With the progressive decline of oared ships and the advent of heavier sailing vessels, its use declined, but it left an indelible mark on the maritime history of the Serenissima.
Secured packaging
Packaging and custom transport.
The quadro Pal dei Dogi is composed of two thermally tempered and laminated glass panels, making the product safe.
To ensure that each artwork arrives intact and in perfect condition, we use a secure and certified packaging system. The quadro is carefully placed in a lined wooden crate, custom-designed to protect it from potential impacts and vibrations. Inside, special shock-absorbing supports keep the artwork stable, preventing movements that could cause damage during transport.
Inside the packaging, in addition to the certificate of authenticity that certifies and guarantees the origin of the briccola from the Venetian Lagoon, we provide the kit to hang the glass, consisting of 4 polished metal supports.
After packaging, the crate is sealed and entrusted to specialized couriers. Every phase of the process is designed to preserve the integrity and artistic value of the artwork, giving the customer the peace of mind of receiving their quadro in perfect condition.
Useful informations
Cleaning and precautions.
The installation of the Pal dei Dogi artworks must be carried out only in indoor environments. Avoid subjecting the quadro to stress or impacts, as they could damage or break the glass panels.
Do not immerse the quadro in water or particular liquids.
For cleaning, simply use a solution of water and ammonia or standard glass cleaning products, as long as they are not aggressive or abrasive.
Use soft cloths, making sure they do not contain impurities that could scratch the glass. Avoid cleaning the edge of the glass with any product, except when dry.
