Description
Certificate of authenticity.
Each Pal dei Dogi artwork is handcrafted, making it unique and unrepeatable. Any imperfections are not defects, but characteristics that certify the originality and singularity of the work.
To guarantee its originality and authenticity, the production identification number appears on the back of each Pal dei Dogi artwork. All works are accompanied by a special certificate of authenticity that certifies and guarantees that the briccola belongs to the Venetian Lagoon.
A wood marked by time
Natural works of art.
The briccole are the silent guardians of the Venetian lagoon. These sturdy wooden posts, once safe guides for gondolas and boats, are slowly sculpted by water, time, and shipworms, transforming into natural works of art.
Pal dei Dogi breathes new life into these iconic elements, transforming them into unique creations that capture the history and essence of Venice.
The wood of the briccole, marked by unpredictable and fascinating paths, blends with glass and water in exclusive pieces, perfect for those who wish to take home an authentic piece of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Bucintoro
The state galley of the Doges of Venice.
The Bucintoro was the majestic state ship of the Most Serene Republic of Venice, used by the Doge for solemn events and official ceremonies. A symbol of power and magnificence, this imposing golden state galley sailed the waters of the Venetian Lagoon, enchanting with its decorative richness and the pomp of its celebrations.
Built from precious woods and embellished with sculptures, carvings, and gold decorations, the ship represented the pinnacle of Venetian naval art. In addition to its prestigious ceremonial role, the Bucintoro was also a functional galley, equipped with luxurious cabins and rooms dedicated to official meetings. Among the most famous events in which the Bucintoro played a leading role was the “Marriage of the Sea,” a tradition celebrated annually in the presence of the Signoria and the Doge, which sealed the unbreakable bond between Venice and the Adriatic.
Rebuilt several times over the centuries, the Bucintoro reached its highest baroque expression in the 18th century, before being destroyed by Napoleon’s troops in 1798. Today, the myth of this legendary vessel lives on in historical tales, paintings, and reconstruction projects that aim to bring the most sumptuous symbol of Venetian power back to life.
Secure Packaging
Customized packaging and transportation.
The Pal dei Dogi painting is composed of two thermally tempered and laminated glass panes, making it safe.
To ensure that each work arrives intact and in perfect condition, we adopt a safe and certified packaging system. The painting is carefully placed in a lined wooden crate, custom-designed to protect it from shocks and vibrations. Inside, special shock-absorbing supports keep the work stable, preventing movement that could cause damage during transport.
Inside the package, in addition to the special certificate of authenticity that certifies and guarantees the briccola’s origins in the Venice Lagoon, we provide a hanging kit for the glass painting, consisting of 4 polished metal brackets.
After packaging, the crate is sealed and entrusted to specialized couriers. Each stage of the process is designed to preserve the integrity and artistic value of the work, offering customers the peace of mind of receiving their painting in perfect condition.
